Habitat for Humanity Group -- Dan Szparaga and William Minor are the conveners/leaders of this newly formed initiative. This group wants CCPC to become involved with the ecumenical project of various churches in our area to build a Habitat home, and also involve youth mission, as well as some of our newer members.
Ingleside -- Rosemary Avery, contact. CCPC Ingleside Committee members have responsibilities of two types: 1) those associated with Ingleside residents who are members of CCPC; and 2) those associated with all Ingleside residents through membership on the Women’s Board of Ingleside.
Mariners -- Bill and Marye Cotton, contacts. Mariners is a fellowship group which meets monthly to enjoy social gatherings in informal settings, some at CCPC and others at the homes of members or planned settings.
The Justice Network – is an e-mail group, allowing members to connect with each other about interesting articles in the current media, pass on copies of letters to legislators or editors, report on opportunities to meet with or lobby public officials concerning issues of justice for the people of God’s world. Louise White and Ed Chesky are contact persons.
CCPC Young Adults – Newly forming group of 20’s and 30’s, single and married without children, who are gathering for fellowship and study a couple of times a month. Anne Kasab, contact.
Partners in Prayer - A small anonymous group committed to pray for people and their concerns mentioned during Sunday's service and raised by the congregation during the week. They also pray for personal prayer requests. Contact Steve Robertson and he will notify the group. The confidentiality of prayer requests is honored.
Columbarium Committee -- Tom Kirby, chair. Since 1997, the church has had a Columbarium for the internment of ashes. The committee, appointed by the Session, is the responsible church body that oversees the administration and operation of the Columbarium.
Needlework Group - The CCPC Needlework group meets on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 at the church in library for a relaxing time of fellowship and service opportunity. This is a flexible group open to anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting, sewing or quilting, or would like to learn (including absolute beginners). New members are always welcome to join us regularly, or on an occasional basis. There are many possibilities for projects including prayer shawls, baby blankets, quilts, preemie hats and stuffed toys. Feel free to bring a sandwich or similar lunch if you would like.
